import map my run data to my gramin connect

in the past I have been using map my rum. lately I purchase a new gramin and want to use the gramin connect app to monitor my activity.

I want to import to gramin connect all my past activity with MMR but so far no luck. I exported to CSV and tried to upload but there seems to be some kind of unclear error,  I tried using FitnessSyncer but it doesn't support garmin as desitnation anymore.

anyone who has a clue is welcomed to share

  • Garmin imports only CSV activity files in the FitBit format, so you have to make sure your files are compatible. Alternatively you can use GPX, TCX, or FIT files

  • If you're up to the mundane task, you can download the individual activities from MapMyRun as tcx files. Then import into Garmin Connect using the [import data page]. Your Garmin Activities will then include data such as GPS track and HR data. There are applications that have the ability to batch repair and upload to Garmin Connect. Fit File Repair Tool will do this, but requires a software license and a Windows computer. You would still need to export individually out of MapMyRun

If you want us to look at your csv format, you can zip your csv then attach it here. Zip the file, then in a reply post

    Insert >> Image/video/file >> Upload >> browse for file >> OK.

Or post a link to the file using a file sharing service, such as OneDriveGoogle DriveDropbox, etc.

  • workouthistory-example.zipsure, I attache 2 files, original and edited one.

That's a workout history. You cannot import workout history, you can only import complete activities.

Besides that, the CSV file is not in the FitBit format, as required for the import. FitBit CSV files always have a leading line with the type of the data it contains. "Body" for body data (weight, fat,...), or "Activity" for activity data files.

  • so there's no way to import the workout history? that was what I was aiming for.

  • so there's no way to import the workout history?

You have to import all activities, the workout history will be then available for them too

  • I did export the full history of activity from MMR, the problem is that when I upload to gramin connect it gives me an error. so if I understand correctly I need to import them one by one and updload. and this is way to tedious.

  • The history CSV file you posted here does not contain any data - it is just a simple list of activities. As I wrote, you cannot import a list of activities without data, you have to import the files of individual activities containing the actual data.

If you find it tedious, then do not do it. Finally it serves nothing, and it is not important at all for the functionality of the account. Your new activities recorded with your Garmin device will be included automatically.
