Half marathon time showing as total time run in the activity

If I run a half marathon, the time shown in the "Personal Record" section is the total time for the activity, not the split time for the half marathon distance. So for example, I ran 13.25 miles this weekend in 1hr 47 mins 33 secs - this shows as the record time for my half marathon, even though the half marathon distance of 13.12 miles was achieved in 1 hr 46 mins 2 secs. Is there any way to correct this (I know I could crop the run, but I don't want to do that). All other (shorter) distances (1k, 5k, 10k, 1 mile) show an accurate time for that distance, even when the total time for the activity was longer and the distance further). Thanks.

Why not? Trim, use the function Assign as PR, and then revert the Trim. Original activity will be preserved, and your PR will be accurate.

Alternatively, you can also edit the PR on the page Personal Records, directly, if you know the right time.

It works the same also for half marathon, there is some range in which a run is treated as full - it's for organized events, it's common you get slightly different distance on measured track. So it keeps time as more important then distance.

If you run, for example, 25km, then it will take exact distance of half marathon for a record.

  • Thanks for this - I didn't know it was possible to just edit the time in the Personal Records page - I've done that now. Thumbsup

  • OK, thank you - I didn't know that but it makes sense - thanks for taking the time to explain it. Thumbsup
