Forerunner 645 only syncing when plugged in

My watch recently stopped syncing with the connect app. Only when I plug the watch in will it sync the previous 24 hours info. I have restarted, deleted, forgotten, reinstalled and logged in and out of everything I can think of.
The ‘sync’ loop will go about 1/4 around, then just complete the loop.

Any help or solutions would be appreciated.

Have you tried force syncing through Garmin Express yet?

Not yet, I do not know what garmin express is.

Ok, I tried the Garmin express and it still won’t sync. After it does ‘sync’ in express I get a red notification that there was an error syncing. But it does not give me a way to see what the error was or was due to.

Sounds like you might have a corrupt activity file on the watch. To find out, you can try a manual upload to Garmin Connect Web

How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

With your Garmin device connected to your computer
Open the drive associated with your device.

Look for your FIT file under the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder

Drag and drop the file on to the [Garmin Connect Import Data page]

If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file. In that case, attach it to this thread so we can fix it.

In a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> Upload >> browse for file >> OK. Or drag and drop it onto a reply post.

Alternatively, post a link to the file using a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
