Ftp setting vivoactive 3

So for several months I've been searching on garmin, Google, forums trying to find out how or if I can put an FTP figure into my garmin. Garmin explains how to do it but the app and website does not allow it. I have a vivoactive 3. If i search the manual for ftp it comes back with 0 results. Searching the web comes back with hundreds of results but none of them help

Am I wasting my time?

It seems pretty poor if it isn't possible. What's the point of all this power talk, smart training and virtual riding simulating the real world if i cant even update something as basic as an FTP setting.

Can anyone shine any light on this.

I do not think that Vivoactive 3 supports Power Zones, but in case I am wrong, the way to enter the Functional Threshold Power is described in the following document:

That link doesn't work unfortunately but it sounds like it probably isn't supported.

I don't think Vivoactive 3 supports power zones either.

IIRC, only outdoor/multisport devices like Fenix/MARQ/Enduro and 735/745/935/945 support power. (This includes the ability to natively connect to a cycling power meter.)
