Better Dashboard Summary

I can't seem to find any yearly or monthly "totals" for my cycling miles, time and elevation gain. If I upload everything to RWGPS it gives me some of this information but I want it to show on my Garmin Connect Dashboard. I can see this information on individual rides (activities) and some graphs by time period for a number of rides but no simple totals to display on my dashboard. Is there a way to do this?

  • I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for but if you go to connect.garmin.com/.../progress-summary you can create reports for all kinds of things, like total cycling miles, elev gain and time for the past month, 30 days, year, 365 days or arbitrary time period.

You can also group reports by week, month or year.

It's pretty flexible, but I don't think you can't put it on your dashboard, unfortunately.

EDIT: Unfortunately the forum doesn't seem to want to make that URL into a link, and it also shortened it.

    Here's the full link:

    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/progress-summary

The other way to access it is:

Left Sidebar > Reports > Progress Summary

  • Is there a way to do this?

Yes, you can add diverse reports to the dashboard - click the empty panel with the big + to add a new panel to the dashboard, select the type Reports, then select the report type - for example the Total Distance, or Total Time (I do not see the Elevation, though), and then on report, change the time scope to one year, and un-select running or other disciplines (if you want to see just cycling). The totals can then be seen if you hover with the mouse cursor over the graph.
