How to just hide activities' "Note" for privacy?

For me, I always write some personal feeling in activities' notes.

However, I do not want to share the notes to others.

If possible to just hide activities' notes when sharing activities to others?

Already submitted idea to Garmin.

Hope they will have a plan for this.

    Others have asked for this before, so hopefully if Garmin gets enough requests, they'll take a look at implementing it.

    True, would be better to clearly display permissions for that and allow to set it.

     

    Currently for Public activities:

    - Notes are displayed to everybody, as those are saved as description in main activity's file:

    /proxy/activity-service/activity/ACTIVITY-ID

    - Comments are hidden to public, those are saved separately as conversation:

    /proxy/conversation-service/conversation/comments/ACTIVITY/ACTIVITY-ID?start=1&limit=10

    Hi All,

    there is the possibility to keep the activity notes visible only for the user?
    I would like to share my activities with friends and groups,
    but I don't like to show also the note field because there I write
    personal info for future sessions on the same track or
    any other personal information.

    I think this feature could be useful for all users.

    It is quite usual on other platforms that there are separate fields for private and for public notes. I wish fot this as well.

    I suggest using the link that  provided. Currently I use Strava if there are any notes I want kept private while keeping my Garmin Connect activities viewable by at least my connections.
