How often are Personal Records updated?

Hi,

My previous 5K PR was 23:08 in a race I did Jan, 16 2021.

I have run today (Feb, 21 2021) a 5K race and did it in 22:41.

Personal Record is not updated neither in my FR945 FW6.20, nor in Garmin Connect

When should I expect it is updated?

    You do it by your own, open personal records on the website, if you made better time, then it should be visible with accept option (this will replace current record). Or you can choose to keep current record (this will hide a new time).

    The problem is that it is not available. 
    That is why I am asking how often it is updated with the new best time

    It can happen that the device does not detect the new record automatically. It may happen because of diverse reasons. One of them is, that you did not approve the previous record on the page [Personal Records], and/or did not sent the updated PR table to the device (see the blue button there on that page). 

    If the new record is not waiting for approval, as wrote, then you can still set it manually. Either you can type the new time directly in the PR table (and send it then to the device), or you can use the cogwheel menu on the page of the concerned activity, and use the option Set as PR. Before doing so, it is better trimming the activity to the exact distance, to have the right time (see the option Trim in the cogwheel menu). Again, do not forget to send the new PR table to the device, so that the next PR is detected automatically.
