Garmin and strava

Hi.. I am currently traing for a duatahlon but when I do my work out on my indoor bike I save it on my garmin instinct and it goes to my garmin connect app and then to my strave account but it doesn't show my distance as I haven't entered it manually in the garmin app yet. I just want to save my data on strave aswell. Can anyone help..

AFAIK, you cannot edit the distance on Strava. One of few options I can think of, is disabling the connection GC - Strava, exporting the activities from GC in the TCX file format, editing the distance in it (only necessary if the edit you did in GC is not exported, but I fear it is indeed that case), and then importing the TCX file at Strava. Not really comfortable. Another option would be using Garmin's Edge with a wheel sensor on the indoor bike for measuring the distance. Or a Tacx machine.
