If you've enabled LiveTrack with "Extend Session Visibility," and it's not past 24 hours ago, you might be able to recover the GPS track using a LiveTrack converter, such as LiveTrack export (dsantini.it) . Keep in mind that doing it this way, you'll be missing a lot of the metrics you would typically have. You'll have the track on a map, elevation, pace, and heart rate, but not much more. 
 You can also connect your watch to a computer and browse for the FIT file in TempFIT folder. 
 Otherwise, you have a chance of recovering the .fit file using a file recovery tool. However, the more you use your device the less likely it is recoverable, as those are overwritten. If recovered, it is likely that the file is corrupted, possibly beyond repair, but you could zip it and post it here if you want us to try to repair it.. 
 Turn the watch off, attach it to your computer, then only turn it on when you're ready to try one of the file recovery tools 
 Activity files located in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder of the device. Also check \GARMIN\TempFIT folder. 
 There are many tools that can recovery data, but some that might work are Recuva for Windows or Bitwar for macOS. 
 
 If you're able to recover it, then try a manual upload to Garmin Connect - How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect? 
 If you get any message other than Import Complete , then there is a problem with the file being corrupt. A ttach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable. 
 
 Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK. 
 Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service , such as OneDrive , Google Drive , Dropbox , etc, make the file public (share with everyone), then paste a link to the file in your post.
