Why does Garmin set the maximum level to be five?

It would be great if the level can go up to 10 or more.

I can only guess. When the new badge system was launched it was a bit tricky to get to level 5 since not so many badges existed and Garmin didn't see that people would "exploit" the Challenge Champ badge…

The 2004 marathon was with a Forerunner 101, Garmin's first wearable fitness device, released in 2003. The ones before that were with a Polar Protrainer NV and/or a Timex Ironman. I used Fit File Repair tool to give it a Garmin device and a proper GPS track.

I just receieved a notification that i had reached badge level 6. It shows me with the number 6 in the "leaders" Section, but only number 5 against my main profile pic. FYI I have 719 pts

Just reload a few times and it should show correctly. Try reloading without the cache (ctrl + shift + R).

Oh this is on Garmin Connect on my phone, not online. Yes, online Garmin Connect has turned into a Green 6
