How to export training plan / Custom Workouts to Zwift / Training Peaks?

I would like to start the Garmin Metric Century Training plan using my Smart Trainer (Wahoo Kickr). What's the best way to complete the workouts and ride on Zwift at the same time?

I enjoy riding on Zwift for something to look at as well as racking up XP/Drops etc.  Is it possible to export the Garmin Coach Training plan so the structured workouts can be completed in Zwift? Ideally we would be able to upload the workout and view everything in Zwift, if not, how can I can still do both at the same time?

My Set up:

Fenix 6 Pro, Wahoo Kicker Smart Trainer, Zwift, I also created a training peaks account as read somewhere that it was possible to sync Training peaks workouts to Zwift as a Zwift Custom Workout. Could sending the Garmin Coach Plan to Training Peaks be a possible workaround?

Thanks in advance!

  • I'm having the same challenge and am wondering if anyone has solved this one.

How to sync training plans between systems and run them on the system that is most convenient at the time. And sync back that the plan is done when completed?

I want to use the training plans from Garmin on both cycling and running, and sort out which day I do what there. Would prefer to run the exercises from the tablet connected to my devices when doing the exercise.

I have tested a few various apps but not managed to sync training plans to Tacx cycling, Zwift or Rouvy.
For Running the Technogym Live was cool as it could control the treadmill, but as did is locked down and you will not get the fit/gpx files from the exercise this is not something I will use.

    My setup:
    Fenix 5x, Edge 520
    Tacx neo for cycling
Technogym MyRun (bluetooth transfer of speed, incline and cadence to tablets, not to watch)

  • There is a way! What i do is let my Garmin Edge controll the my Tacx Neo. I run the training on the Edge and the Edge controls the Tacx. Speed, Cadens and Power is send back to the Edge. At the same time i start Zwift but disconnect the control from Zwift to the Tacx. The Tacx send it's power, speed and cadens also back to your ANT+ or Bluetooth interface of your PC/ Laptop. This data is broadcasted by the Tacx and can be received by multiple devices. This way you can stil 'Zwift' while the Tacx is controlled by your Garmin device.

btw: You will notice speed differences between Zwift and Garmin. That's normal. It als is not really important for your training. It's the power, cadence  and heartbeat what counts. Speed is only the result.
