Sleep data not updating to Garmin Connect

Over the past 3 or 4 days the watch has been having a Sync error where information like sleep data does not upload to Garmin Connect. The error says:

Sync Failed

MessageWriteError(message:”exhausted retries”)

The only information I can see on My Day is heart rate, intensity minutes and steps. I haven't changed anything on my watch or phone so I don't know what is going on.

If it is an Android phone, have a look in GC Mobile menu » Settings » Device Sync Audit, whether it reveals some more details. The Sync / Connection Troubleshooting Guide can perhaps then give you some ideas how to fix the problem.

It’s actually an iPhone. I’ve tried reconnecting the Bluetooth and reinstalling the app to no avail.

You better ask on the Garmin Connect Mobile iOS forum, then - more chance to get a relevant answer there. This forum is for the web interface, and not everyone here is familiar with the iPhone app.
