Numerous badges not being awarded for recorded activities

There are a few badges that I haven’t been awarded that’s cause some confusion.
- I have been awarded “5km run” badge but not the “1 mile run” badge
- I have logged many walking activities but only have been awarded the “walk the walk” badge of 5 walking activities. I haven’t counted how many walking activities have been recorded but I’ve recorded 45 by my count
- similar to the walking activities, I have received the “super strength” badge but no the following ones and I have recorded close to 100 workouts since I got a connect account. (28 in the last year) 
Curious what can be done about these badges not being awarded.

    The distance badges are awarded when you do at least the required distance but not longer than the distance for another badge. That means that you must run longer than 1 mile, but shorter than 5 km.

    The Walking and Strength activities must be recorded with a Garmin device and have the correct type. Hiking is not counted as Walking. Only activities from 2020-04-28 counts for those badges.

    Currently there is nothing in the cooking, as far as we can see in the background data, and Garmin otherwise does not realease any plans. But new badges are released every month, so keep an eye open on 's website (https://garminbadges.com/) for the new announcements - usually he publishes them as soon as they appear in the JSON data from Garmin (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/main/js/properties/badges-list/badges-list.properties )

    Over 100 walks recorded with a Garmin from the correct dates. Or is it really 100 after the other badges have been recorded?

    100 Walks (no hikes, though!) since 2020 Apr 28. And manual entries do not count. Exactly as Andy wrote previously.
