2021 walking stage 1, unlock new challenge??

I've completed the 2021 walking stage 1 badge today, we have until the end of march to complete it. Will new challenges unlock between now and then or is that it? 1 pt for 90 miles of walking over 3 months is pretty crap if there aren't bonus points for early finishes.

    The staged challenges will be just one for every 3 months, but there will be other monthly challenges each month just like the other 7 challenges in January.

    You still got the stage 1 for running and biking to do and then there are also all the ordinary badges. How many do you have left to take?

    Thanks for the reply. I have almost completed the January cycling and running, have a bit to go before completing stage 1 of both though. Despite using Garmins for years I only just joined the challenges in Oct. Along with runs and past activities saved I'm at about 144pts since Sept. 

    The challenges are great motivation it would just be nice to get extra/bonus points if you finish early Blush

    Although Garmin have stated they are annual challenges (eg on FB), it looks like they are four quarterly challenges (which is different) and you just need to wait for the next one. Until we see the April-June one we will not know whether there will be any carry-over, but I doubt it.

    When they speak about the annual challenges, I guess they mean Group Challenges - they were always there, and you can create them yourself (assuming you created a group, or adminster one).

    No. eg ''To celebrate 2021, we’re challenging you to run 2,021 kilometers (or 1,255.8 miles). ''⠀and they then go on to state it is in fact 4 equal quarterly challenges.⠀⠀

    Yes, that's what I meant - there is no annual challenge, except of yearly Groups Challenges. Just the quarterly challlenges.

    Hi sdmtbgpx, it was bonus challenges I was asking about. I have all January complete bar the swimming which isn't an option as we are in lockdown and not near open water and the 5k run badge which will be available on Friday. I completed Stage 1 walking already and wondered would further badges be released if you finished in a particular time slot or finished early, there are 72 days remaining and I've already completed with no option of a further challenge until quarter for the stage badges as e7andy advised.

    There are new badges being released every month, but as wrote,   the 2021 Running badge is a quarterly one, and hence the next stage will be published in the next quartal. There are no extra points for the early completion, at any of existing badges.
