Currently I have entered my second (running) training program with Coach Galloway.
Galloway uses what is called Run-Walk-Run. Meaning you do not run all the time but fill the time or distance of your workout by switching between running and walking. For each tempo goal there is a different scheme.
In the pre-defined workouts it is only mentioned as a phase Run-Walk and only the duration or length is defined. For example yesterday the Run - walk phase was 4 km.
Example of the run walk scheme to be used during the 4k Run Walk phase (choose a pace that applies):
Pace per mile |
Running |
Walking |
8:30 |
5:00 |
1:00 |
9:00 |
4:00 |
1:00 |
10:00 |
3:00 |
1:00 |

Would it be possible to change a phase like that so that the Run – Walk intervals can be custom defined prior to the work out by defining the Run duration to 05:00 and Walk duration to 01:00 in case a pace of 08:30 is to be archieved and Run duration to 04:00 and Walk duration to 01:00 in case a pace of 09:30 and so on.
And to have the repetition to be auto adjusted for the total the duration or length is defined of the Run – Walk phase?
