fenix 5 s plus activity missing

Hi every body,

On my road bike i use garmin edge  530 and when i'm running i use a Fenix 5s plus.
But on my enduro MTB i use a "old" Wahoo elmnt device,

At the end of my ride i synchronize wahoo with strava and i send the .fit file to garmin connect, it works fine

-- My problem is that my mtb ride will appear on garmin connect but not in my Fenix watch...---

I've tried to paste the .fit file directly into the primary folder, whitout success...

I'm a little bit disapointed because on my watch my training datas  are wrong.

Can someone help me please...

thank you

  • I'm a little bit disapointed because on my watch my training datas  are wrong.

You can send an Activity to the device from Garmin Connect Web (see the option Send to Device in the cogwheel menu). However, training data such as VO₂max, Training Effect, etc, are calculated only in real-time, live. The FIT file does not contain the HRV data anyway, so it cannot be done just from the file. You could record your cycling activities with the Fenix, instead.

  • Thank you trux,

i've already tried the option Send to Device in the cogwheel menu, without success... the activity is not displayed on the watch. i've also tried to send it via basecamp, or convert fit file in tcx fil....

However thx for the information about training data, it seems that will have no choice but riding with my edge 530, but it seem more fragile than my wahoo elemnt specialy considering that i'm living in a quite rocky area.

  • You can also export the activity as "Original", unzip it, and move the FIT file to the folder //GARMIN/Activity/. However, as I wrote, it won't be reparsed anyway. And it does not contain the HRV data so even if it were reparsed, the VO₂max, LT, TE, ... data cannot be recalcualted.

You do not need to ride with the Edge. You can use  your Fenix to recrd the rides, and if you Wahoo can broadast the power and speed data over ANT+, you can connect it as an external sensor to Fenix, to have it all there.
