Why are activities not retained in "history" on Garmin Instict watch

Activities disappear from history on my Garmin Instinct watch. Before my last update all activities are retained until I deleted them.

When updating the firmware, sufficient storage space is needed, hence the history may be cleared. You can find the Activities in Garmin Connect, and if you really need them on the watch for some reason, export them as Original, and put back into the folder //GARMIN/Activity/
