Another "possible" corrupt .fit file. Please help

I have a file on my Edge 520 that will not load or sync. I assume it is corrupted. I tried fixing it with the Garmin Online Fit Repair Tool, but this is all I can seem to get:

I have a Mac, so it seems I can't use the other file tool and honestly I probably don't know enough to fix it myself.

Also I only have about 10 files on my Edge so it isn't a storage capacity thing.

If someone could please help me out that would be a great start to 2021.

Thank you

Edit: Can you really not attach a .fit file on the Garmin site? That seems to be about as ironic as it gets.2020-12-28-11-50-05.fit.zip

Use FIT File Tools Section Remover. It is a browser based utility and is Mac-friendly.  Launch the section remover, drop your corrupt fit file onto the page, click GO, then download the repaired file. Unzip the file then import into Garmin Connect using the import data page.

If you have any problems doing this, please reply back and I'll repair the fit file for you.

Regardless, after verifying that all activities are synced, I would remove the FIT files from \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder, as there could be a file in there causing a problem.

    • Keep the number of files in the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder on the device’s file system to a minimum using these directions: Removing Recorded Activities to Free Up Space on a Garmin Fitness Device
    • If you delete the files in your activity folder with a Mac computer, then empty the trash folder before you unplug your device from the computer.
    • Regularly check for firmware updates.
    • If issues with corrupt files persist, contact Garmin Support.
    • Thank you so much!! I saw that program, but just from looking at it, it is not intuitive how to use it. Even putting the file in I was a little confused because no section needed to be removed, but I assume the program somehow "uncorrupts" the file?
