Training Activity not appearing in Garmin Connect, while sync is successful

Hello,

I am the owner of Garmin 6s and iPhone 8, latest firmware.

my activities are usually not transferred to Connect app (mostly if longer than 1 hour).

Watch are synced, steps, heart rate etc. perfectly reflected and actualised.

i downloaded my log file manually and uploaded to website Garmin connect and it appeared then. So no corruption of the file is detected.

why is watch not properly sending data to Garmin connect as expected and what to do with it? Any suggestions?

thanks and happy new 2021 to everyone!

This makes me wonder if you're using a Garmin user account for Garmin Connect Mobile app that is different from Garmin Connect Web. See this support document - Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing

  • I did not get it with the accounts.. what was supposed to be the problem? People create more then 1 Garmin Connect account? I didnt for sure..

Just in case I unpared again and did all above recommended.

I also have an HRM Pro strap - and I use watch and strap together, after I finish I click Download HR Data from HR strap via watch menu. Maybe this is something I shouldnt do? ..

Maybe watch and strap need to be seen as two separate registered devices and sync independently to Connect App to create the one full report? just guessing, that I probably download data to my watch and then it is no longer a syncable file..?

    Thanks in advance!

The issue is typically that a user will reinstall the app or get a new phone and inadvertently create a new account rather than use the original account that they've been using on Garmin Connect Web and/or Garmin Express. Not saying it's your issue, but it happens frequently.

Check out the Device Sync Audit in Garmin Connect Mobile app Menu » Settings after one of such unsuccesfull syncs - it should reveal some hints.

  • Thanks, tried to find the below, but it is not there on the Iphone - could you please share a printscreen?

    Device Sync Audit
  • Device Sync Audit

Doesn't exist on the iOS platform. There is an option to send a diagnostic report to Garmin Support, but not user-visible.

  • I also suspecting other decices like hrm or even bluetooth ear pług which can make a problem during syncing while Connected to the Watch or ever. Footpod
