Repairing corrupt .fit file

Hi,

I did a run this morning for a virtual race but when I got back I found that the .fit file my watch has recorded is corrupted. I've tried uploading it to http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ but that says that the file is in use by another process. I use Linux so can't install MS Access in order to use the Fit File Repair Tool. Does anyone know of any other tools? Here is the file ACUA1002.zip

wilscot, this will work for you - ACUA1002-fixed.zip

Unzip the file then import into Garmin Connect using the import data page. Repaired using Fit File Repair Tool.

Thank you, that's so strange. It's staying that it recorded the whole time so it didn't start picking up GPS until over an hour into the ride?

Right. The distance data comes from the speed sensor when there is no GPS.

Indeed, it was a treadmill activity. I don't know what's going on with the latest Gamin updates. I always get two issues:

1) Watch reboots during an activity multiple times.

2) Watch fails to save an activity after I hit the save option.

I don't know if you have a solution to this issues, I've tried almost everything, from rebooting to constantly keeping my watch memory clean, but they always come back.

I would suggest contacting Garmin Product Support. They may have additional solutions, or possibly an RMA replacement.

Unfortunately, Fit File Repair Tool can only recover 4 miles of it. Perhaps someone else will have a look Former Member.

I also have a file that wont upload, should be 16km but I can only recover 6km! It's showing on my watch but not on Garmin connect
