Syncing activities with HRM Tri

I noticed some peculiar syncing issues when using HRM Tri. Somebody already posted that once you save and sync an activity, then download HR on watch from external HR, it will get synced to Garmin Connect as duplicate. However another one bothers me far more. When I finish an activity, and in post-workout summary screen, before selecting Done, I opt to download HR, download succeeds but activity never syncs with Connect. The activity is there in watch history but never transfers to Connect.

Is there a way to force-sync such activities? I have a misfortune than one of those was my personal best time.

This happens on my Forerunner 945 but it also did on my old Fenix 5.

Download it over the USB cable from the folder //GARMIN/Activity/ and import it manually at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data

Yes, this clever hack works. Thank you.

I noticed that the activity file was named by a different convention than other, properly saved activities, although it appears that the file was properly formed / not corrupted as it was able to be imported with all data present. Probably the saving step was somehow skipped because I chose download HR rather than first choosing Done. I'd say that it is a bug by any standard and it would be good if it can be fixed.

It can happen only if you report it to Garmin's Customer Support. They won't see it here, on the user forum.
