Please help...export and import from one garmin account to another is not working! And Merry Christmas to all of you :)

I am trying to export training activities from one account and want to import it into another account.

It's both from the same watch GARMIN Forerunner 35 and it's both for a garmin connect account. But it just won't work and always says: "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again."

I am wondering because it's both data from garmin and I don't understand the problem?

I already tried to take out the weird symbols (e.g. changed Köln to Cologne) but it is still not working. 

Can anyone help? Hopefully it's an obvious solution and I am just a bit stupid, haha.

    Hm....somehow i can't even upload the file...

  • Looks like you are trying to import the CSV list of Activities. It won't work. You have to export the complete activities in the FIT file format (use the option Export Original on the page of each respective Activity), and then import then in the other account. The TCX and GPX file formats would work too, but the FIT format is definitely preferable.

  • I am trying to change my email address but I get an error message that it is an invalid email address. Garmin said I created and logged in with that address before. I can log into Garmin with the new address but I get a welcome message and no data transfers from my old account. Do I have to export each individual activity in the 'export original' format one activity at a time to the new account or can I export all the activities at once. I would like to export all the activities for the past year but not one at a time. What a painful experience. I have sent emails back and forth to Garmin on this subject but wanted to ask the forum for help. Thank you.
