Garmin forerunner 225 problem with software

My Garmin Forerunner 225 was synced and updated on November 29, 2020, Since then my device has stopped working. It is unable to upload the new software which was done on November 29th. Due to that my device has stopped working. I tried several attempts to sync the device on Garmin express but none triggered to resolve the problem. As of now I don't have Job and my device has stopped working. Can not buy the new Garmin Watch. I would be highly obliged if you can help me to resolve the problem. For your knowledge I have already reset the device but no luck.

    My Garmin Express gave me 2.9 version i just updated on my computer and battery last for just 2 days and also failed to upload software updates on the watch. Now new problem is unable to acquire GPS signal so none of the menu works in the watch.

    What exactly does it mean? The watch does not turn on at all? Or do you just have a problem with the syncing?

    These two claims are contradictory - in the first one you claim the watch stopped working becuase of the update, and in the second sentence you tell it cannot update to the new version. So which of the claims is true?

    I have received the mail from Garmin center, stating to visit Garmin store and get the device replaced in Mumbai but when I contacted Garmin India store via email , they sent me following reply.

    Dear Customer,

    Thanks for your mail.

    very sorry to say that, this model is service out in May- 2019. so we are unable to provide service support for the same. we suggest you to visit at Garmin.co.in& choose a new Garmin for you. we will provide you a good discount on a new purchase.

    So my Garmin Forerunner RIP,  Due to upgrading my device. Those who have not upgraded enjoy until it last.

    Sorry for using the wrong words. My device do turn on but some of the menu functions are inoperative after software updates. If I select RUN the message pops up Acquire a GPS fix to start the timer. Same message for history.  Also it is not updating real time and date

  • But why do you tell you cannot update the software, when you wrote the last update caused the troubles? So did the watch update or not? What version does it report when you look in the Menu » Settings » About?

    If I understand you well, it sounds like you may have an outdated EPO file. Delete it, and load a new one, while being connected by thwe USB cable to Garmin Express on a computer. See more details here: Expired EPO on a Garmin Outdoor Watch

    Also make sure there is sufficient free space on the device - possibly it is overfilled, and causing problems with updating the files. Delete all files from the folder //GARMIN/Activity and also remove unused workouts and courses from their respective folders.

    I just tried couple of times to delete RemoteSW file as guided by you but the problem still persist the same. Is there any other probability that you can guide me to resolve the issue please ?
