Published Calendar always empty

I exported my calendar a week ago or so but the published link always exports an empty ICS file.

Is there a known problem? Did I do something wrong?

I did see some issues with this feature - but those were like 3 years ago.

edit: Wait a minute: Does this only publish upcoming events? Not the runs I just had?!

  • Does this only publish upcoming events? Not the runs I just had?!

That is true. I guess the purpose is to see what you have planned to do. Not to see what you have done. To see the historic data you should use the calendar in Garmin Connect.

  • Thanks a lot. That's a bummer. I don't plan my runs on Garmin Connect but would love to have my past runs with correct time slots in my calendar on all my devices. :/ Have to look for a workaround. I may have to use Strava after all to achieve that.

    Thanks again.

  • I think there is more to this. I use the publish option to link to my Google Calendar and like you my calendar was empty. In my case it was because all my uses of my Garmin 1030 and Venu are classed as activities (I just go for a walk, to the gym, a bike ride) - activities don't show on the calendar, only Challenges and Goals. I've started using the Connect to Office 365 option which works but doesn't priovide me with all my data and in my case I link this to sync with my Google Calendar which provides data on the basis of Location and time in activity but no mileage. I use Strava linked to Garmin Calendar and this works really well but there's no sync with Google Calendar which is really what I want - everything in one place.  Please Garmin - let's have Activities included in the Calendar sync to Publish Calendar.
