If using GPS same day doesn't show steps in Garmin Connect dashboard using Forerunner 45

I have the Forerunner 45 watch and noticed if I use the GPS to run on a given day and sync my watch data the next day to Garmin Connect it will only shows the GPS run but not the steps for that day.

For example on the watch 12/03

-2 GPS runs

-12000 Steps shown on the watch

In Garmin connect dashboard:

-Shows the 2 GPS runs on 12/03

-STEPS Chart Graph is blank (not filled in with any data) for that day (12/03).

Try deleting the files from the folder //GARMIN/Activity/ on the watch. The reason could be insufficient space for storing the monitoring FIT file containing the step counts. The recording of the activity and saving it can release an older activity, and filling the gap with the new data, not letting any space for the monitoring file to be saved. Not sure whether it helps, but it is worth of trying. Cleaning up the Activity folder is a recommended measure anyway to prevent diverse other troubles as well (for example corrupted FIT files).
