I went on a Bike ride on thanksgiving with some friends, they all got 2 badges for completing the activity on Thanksgiving but I haven´t earned them. How can I claim them?

Is your Garmin account set to be in the US? Some badges are local.

"Location: xxxx"
The badges a regional just as olni65 mentions. You must use the correct country setting in your Garmin account. Valid countries are: Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, United States

The badges are not repeatable so if you got them last year you will not get them again. Do you see them under Earned or Available? If you don't see them at all you have an incorrect country setting for those badges.

BTW, e7andy - I believe the badges are available also in some other countries not listed on your website. I ressemble seeing users from Canada and Australia, here on the forum, getting them too, although I am unsure whether it was on the same date - the Thanksgiving date differs from country to country (more on that on Wikipedia)
Thanks. I've seen that at least Canada got another day for their Thanksgiving, but I ignored that since the badge start and end was for the Thanksgiving in the US. The start and end date in the data I look at doesn't seem to be the same dates used when evaluating the badges in the backend so my assumption might be wrong. That is the case with those challenge badges that ended one day too early. The end date that I see is correct, but the badge is still not awarded.
I haven't checked all possible countries since the list are so long so it is possible that I've missed a few. It could also be that not all country settings will make the badges be visible in the available list but can still be awarded by the backend. Very sneaky. I've now tested with Canada and Australia and they don't make the badges visible. Garmin has already changed the dates to next year so it is possible to test now.
I hope that people that discover errors or missing data in my website will contact me so I can investigate it. Everything that makes the data more correct is appreciated.
This is the data I use (you must be logged in to Garmin Connect to access it):
