Hi,
I'm trying to sync my historic strava activities to Garming Connect using the data importer. It's uploading my .gpx data files, but the .tcx it won't ingest them. Is this a known limitation? How can I sync my activities?

There's indeed spaces inserted into the files (TomTom > Strava > Exported > Imported Garming) In all files finding " <?xml" and replacing with "<?xml" does the…
I had the same problem. I didn't want to install MS Access to use the Fit File Repair tool, so I wrote a small python script to open all tcx files and remove the leading spaces. Can't seem to insert the…
They have to be a specific format for Garmin. There are some online apps that can fix this. If you can insert one of the problematic tcx files into your post, we can take a look at it.

Are you referring to the Import Data page on Garmin Connect Web?
Yes. The tool offered at: connect.garmin.com/.../import-data
Gong to need the actual tcx file. Use the Insert function on your post
Had to zip it ;) It gave an error if tried as .tcx
How many of these do you have? This one is fixed - 686880610-fixed.zip
Thanks! I have about 244 left ;) Whats the recipe for the fix? I’ll try and bulk edit in VS code.
For the 1 file, I used a licensed copy of Fit File Repair Tool.
For a bulk edit, I defer to our subject matter experts trux or BunBun!
Thank you for your effort none the less!
I see several threads regarding this. Here's one, see response from sh-run: Manual Import for tcx not working--FIXED!
Fit File Repair Tool does do batch processing. I tested with 10 tcx activities from strava, all of which initially failed to upload to Garmin Connect. Used the Batch File Conversion process to convert from tcx to tcx. Then used the Batch File Upload. All were then successfully imported into Garmin Connect. It was fairly quick .
