Filter routes/courses by distance

When searching for suggested routes nearby one has the "distance" button with the two dots for upper and lower limit. If there are many routes in one area, lets say ranging from 1 to 500km, one can not filter for routes, lets say less than 12k, because the bar for the search-range is way to coarse. Any suggestions?

The distance slider is a bit tricky to use and it should be improved.

Here is how you can use it to do what you want:

Zoom in on an area with routes. The more you zoom in the more fine grained the slider…

Here is how you can use it to do what you want:

Zoom in on an area with routes. The more you zoom in the more fine grained the slider will become. After you have set the distance range you like to see you can zoom out again and pan around to find courses in other places with the distance range kept. To be able to zoom in even more use Google Maps or HERE as map. Openstreetmap will not let you zoom in as much.
