Spurious weigh-ins added when with manual activities

There seem to be a few circumstances where GC Web adds weigh-ins that are not entered by the user. In my case, the latest weigh-in is duplicated whenever I enter a manual activity, specifically a single-gas dive. The weigh-in has the timestamp of when the activity was created.

  • Does not happen to me. Did you add the activity through GC Web, or through the phone app? Try adding the dive with the other one. Is it reproducible? If so, then report it to Garmin's Customer Support.

Good call. Yes, I just tried it and it's reproducible through both channels. I'm trying to report it, though with no luck so far - chat is not offered in my region and the e-mail option seems not to work. Never mind, I'll keep tying.

  • You can also try adding the dive in another way. Start any Activity on the watch (i.e. Cardio or Walk), stop it after 5s or so, sync, then go to Garmin Connect, change its type to Single Gas Dive and enter all the data you need. It does not create any false weight-in for me in this way. The additional advantage is, that the dives added in this way count for the badges (if you care about them).

Thanks for the tip. I'm new to Garmin, making a switch from Endomondo, so I'm still finding my way around.
