Looking for Garmin Connect REST API for activities

I see there are people using a REST API to access Garmin activities (same data as from https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities).

I also found what data can be returned via https://developer.garmin.com/connect-iq/api-docs/index.html. But I cannot find the correct REST API syntax to query garmin for activities.

From other queries on this forum, it appears (or I think) I'm looking for REST API docs for Activity Search Service 1.2

Does this documentation exist anywhere??

What you need is access to the Health API: developer.garmin.com/.../

Well, yes, but no. You can search forum or internet and the link was:
http://connect.garmin.com/proxy/activity-search-service-1.2/

It's not working anymore, but you can read it from some copy or archive.

I sent in an application (no reply). They seem to want commercial developers, I'm only doing this for my own activities. Not sure I qualify.

Trying to find some archive .. but google this far has not been very accomodating.

How so? Just enter its name or "garmin web api" or search by that link. It's available even on archive.org. Unless you already found it and search for better docs, then yes, those are short and old.

Did you ever get access to your own data via any API? I too want such access but am not developing for commercial purposes.

I was looking for the same and since I am not able to get any useful data from Garmin I ended with Strava API that gives you everything that you need.
