Training effect incorrect - way too low!!

Hello, My training effect seems extremely low and I don’t know why. Can anyone help please?

I have a Garmin 735xt and I wear a Garmin Tri HR Strap whilst cycling or doing any activities as I was lead to believe its more accurate. Today I cycled 24.74 miles with a max HR of 194 and average of 164. Garmin says the zones I was in was mainly zone 4 but also some 5 and 3. My training effort says 1! It also says like 300 calories which is incorrect. I don’t really bother about them but think it may be linked. I’m more worried about the training effort as it’s so out. What can I do to fix this please?

  • I also have a 735XT and sometimes the same problem happens. It happens maybe 2-3 times a month. I use the watch every day when I train. I don't know the reason for this error. There is no fault in the heart rate belt due to a new battery. Heart rates come just right, calories and training effect wrong- Annoying mistake
