It is impossible to print training plan from Garmin Connect web interface.

It is impossible to print training plan from Garmin Connect web interface. I have tried different browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox) the same issue - printing of training plan is not possible. The only thing that works if  is if you change a printing scaling to 10%. All plan for 16 weeks is in one page. But it looks so small. And I can't copy and paste it to another document editor with good quality. Garmin, will you do something with this issue?

  • Ok. Now I understand. When you click the print button you only get 1 page and what fits in that one page.

When I click the print button I get 14 pages for the Marathon program.

I think this issue isn't related to Garmin but to your computer, browser or perhaps the printing destinations.
What happens if you switch the printing destination? To for example "Microsoft print to pdf"? (if that is an option for you).

It is probably not the browser since you get the same behavior for different browsers.

  • Now I get the same behavior. I can only print 1 page...don't know what changed. I still got a window open where I can print 14 pages. Investigating...

That indicates that it isn't a local problem on your side. I've tested with Chrome and Edge and got the exact same result. I'm on a brand new computer (got it yesterday) and this was the first time I logged in to Garmin Connect in Edge browser so it can't be anything cached there.

  • I sent Garmin a support case about this issue since both you and me got the same behavior. I also sent them a link to this discussion.

  • The same old issue: Incomplete printing of training plan.

If changing browser doesn't help, then copy manually from a webpage

or use JSON (take plan ID from edit link), but it's clear data, so you would need some editor to add formatting:

    https://connect.garmin.com/modern/proxy/trainingplan-service/trainingplan/tasks/!!!PLAN_ID!!!

  • I sent Garmin a support case about this issue since both you and me got the same behavior. I also sent them a link to this discussion.

Thank you! Hope they will do it right. I am sending training plans for the beginners and explaining them that activities based on heart rate is better and comfortable to start training. So it would help. =)

  • I just got a reply from Garmin Support and they can reproduce the issue and it has been escalated to the development team.

  • Garmin Support contacted me today and say that they no longer can reproduce the issue. They think it might have been solved with the latest update of the site.

Update: I cannot print a full training program. I guess it was cached in some way. Reloading Garmin Connect with ctrl+shift+R stopped the printing from working. It is still just one page.

I've told them that the issue still exists.

  • Garmin Support contacted me again with an update that it should now be fixed.  Could you test it now? I've done a few tests and it works for me.

In Chrome it looks very good. In Firefox I get a lot of extra empty pages in the middle the training program, but if you keep scrolling the program will continue. All days are there even if it looks a bit odd. I get 228 pages in Firefox and just 10 pages in Chrome for the same training program.

  • Hi ! Exactly as you said. In Chrome it works well. But in Firefox it generated 115 pages of the same training plan - marathon / intermediate for 16 Weeks / 5 Workouts/Week. Thank you very much!
