Almost useless warning about "New Sign-in to Your Account"

Every now and then I get an email from Garmin with a warning that I have signed in from a new location. These emails are almost completely useless, since they don't help me at all in finding out whether this was indeed one of my recent logons.

So please, Garmin: Please add some information about ip address, location and browser version. Then maybe these mails can be useful.

  • Agreed, and I see 3 years later they still give you no information about the login, or anywhere to see active sessions.
In fact, I would say these emails are having the opposite affect on account security. These emails always coincide with me genuinely logging in from a new computer/phone, BUT they arrive after a huge delay, like 8-10 hours! This means I should either assume my password was compromised and change it, or ignore it. Knowing I logged in hours ago from a new device, I ignore it. But now I have no trust in these emails as they do not arrive in a timely manner.

Garmin, please send these emails promptly as soon as the new sign in occurs, or at least provide a time and date of the new sign in so I can decide if I should act or if it was just me logging in many hours ago.

  • Furthermore, this shows up in my profile... very useful, thanks Garmin Rofl
