New gradient track colors only displaying on preprogrammed Activities...

New gradient track colors only displaying on preprogrammed Activities on my Instinct Tactical. Custom Activities still show old style of the red line on the map overlay. How can I turn on the gradient layers for my custom Activities?

    Try changing the type of the activity in Garmin Connect to Run, Walk, Hike, Bike, OW Swim, or whatever else best matches the type of your custom activity.

    Thank you for the response. I believe I discovered the solution at the same time you commented.

    What I discovered is that when I originally created my own Activity on my Garmin Instinct called "RUCK'N" it will be classified as "Other" in the Garmin Connect Categories.

    The solution was to delete that custom Activity and just copy one of the preprogrammed ones.

    So I copied the Hike activity and customized it to my needs. Now Garmin Connect puts it in the Hike category, which allows the gradient map overlays. 

    Apparently the "Other" category on GC doesn't get much love from the new gradient overlays.
