BADGE QUESTIONS

First question is: How can anyone EVER get this badge, if the only way you can get it is by doing an activity with someone who has got it?  WHO GOT THE BADGE IN THE FIRST PLACE? lol.  It's a bit like the "what comes first -  The chicken or the egg?"

Second question: Is it really a very good idea to be encouraging athletes to get extra points by using gear that is past it's end of life? I suppose it's not so bad with some stuff but, personally, I don't think it is a good idea when it comes to running shoes etc. Maybe it's me.  What does everyone else think?

  • True, they could inform how this badge started working, would be a good trivia.

Old shoes, it can be taken as a reminder. There is a second badge for retiring those shoes. So it rather reminds and encourages to stop using them. But those badges are one time only. To make it as a feature, it should remind about every old shoes.

But anyway - I haven't found expected distances for each shoes. We can look for some opinions, but distance's tests for new models will appear too late and a manufacturer rather doesn't provide this information.

We can enter average distance, something like: OK up to: 2 000 km, but this can differ with shoes' types.

So, I don't enter any distance, and just look and feel how shoes behave.

So, it's just one time badge, not feature, in current form.
