Category colors gone in Garmin Connect Web Calendar :-(

As of this morning, the Calendar in Garmin Connect Web no longer shows different colors for different activities (running, swimming, strength training, etc), making it very hard to get a quick overview of my training history. Sure, there's the little pictograms, but that doesn't work nearly as well for getting an overview as a color scheme.

Does anyone know if coloring the different activities is still somehow possible?

To me, this seems the most moronic UI change imaginable. :-(

    I'm hoping this is not an intentional change but its a problem that will be fixed soon. I have nothing to back this up, just hoping.

    That's my hope as well. Contacting Garmin Support would be the best option, as it would be highly unlikely to get a response from Garmin on this forum.

    Former Member's equating this with something a moron would do is a bit harsh, IMO.

    I was maybe a bit too harsh indeed. Let me rephrase: making a cosmetic change to the calendar view that unnecessarily removes very useful functionality seems, if intentional, perhaps not the brightest idea.

    I just came of a chat with Garmin support. Their response: "Hello, this change is by design. We released a new update for connect earlier this morning."

    I asked whether there was any way to request the reinstatement of the different colors for different activities, and was told that I could submit feedback through https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/.

    You could write a userscript that changes all colors to whatever you like. got a nice addon that could be used as a base for the modifications: https://github.com/truxoft/GCO

    The colours have also gone from the Calendar tile on the Dashboard.

    It's not the first time Garmin has made an update that is a visual deterioration. With many complaints, they sometimes want to revert back to the old functionality.

    Advice: So complain a lot.

    Indeed, the new look doesn't looks.

    This is a ridiculous change...why would the designers remove something that provides greater acuity to the different types of workouts? Nike started doing this crap three years ago, it was one of the main reasons I switched completely to Garmin. I want to know how many strength work outs I do at a glance versus running and biking...Switch it BACK.

    I was told by Garmin support in a chat that the link for feedback is www.garmin.com/.../. Doesn't seem the appropriate link; I'd rather have a link to file a bug report. Technically, the change is not a bug, but morally, it is. :-)
