error loading the GPX file

Oh, is that not something that I can upload to my Garmin device? 

Are you trying to create route, same as the original post?

Which Garmin device do you use?

I use a Garmin Edge 830. I bought it recently so I'm still learning how to use it. I have the route that those points are on. I guess I was hoping that the I could upload the points to the device as well so I could see their location along the route.

Can't be done in Garmin Connect. Perhaps you should post on the Edge 830 forum - Edge 830 - Cycling - Garmin Forums

I can put waypoints on my Edge 830 with Basecamp.  I just tried it and it worked.  I selected the waypoint in the list and went right click -> send to -> picked the 830.  The waypoint was stored on my computer not on another plugged in device.

When I unplugged the 830 the waypoint showed up in the list of locations in the navigation menu.
