Under a Full Moon Badge

I see other people that completed activities for the "Under a Full Moon" badge but have not received them yet, as I have not either.  This morning, I posted a 5 mile walk (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/5616981295).  From my understanding, if I post an activity on October 1st, 2020, then I would be awarded this badge and point.

I grant Garmin reviewers permission to view my account data when researching this issue through their administrative tools.  As an aside, my wife is from Taiwan and thinks I should get this badge Slight smile.

Thanks in advance,

Chris Simmons

  • I see that other people is being rewarded with the badge so it isn't a general issue with that.

You activity looks good so that shouldn't be an issue.

Have you checked that the badge is in your list of available badges at https://connect.garmin.com/modern/badges

If you don't see the badge then the changing of the country might need to be repeated.

  • e7andy,

Thanks for the help and the reply.  Unfortunately I am in the US and don't see it listed.  However, I see that you are in Sweden and you have the badge.  Is there a way for me to change my country to Taiwan in order to get the badge?  And, then change back to the US?  I don't want to lose any badges or points in doing so though?

    Thank you again, Chris

  • To get the badge you are required to change the country. That is why you haven't got the badge.

    You change it here: https://www.garmin.com/account/profile

Change the country, edit the activity to get the badge, then change the country to US again.

Changing the country will not affect any of your awarded badges.

  • e7any,

Thanks again for your help/advice and knowledge.  I went to my profile and changed my country from US to Taiwan.  And went back to see if badge was awarded.  It probably takes a while for it to update I'm guessing?  If/when it does, I'll change back to US.

    Thank you again very much!

    Chris

usually when I change the country and save the activity I get the badge but this time it fails. Tried both countries but no badge this time. Too bad, but more badges to gain :-) . Danny

  • Yeah Danny, mine didn't update either.  Maybe we had to be changed to that particular country before we did the activity?  I went ahead and switched back to my country.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • Yes, you have to change the country before you do the activity. You can still usually get the badge by just doing an edit to the activity.

I did a couple of tests now and it works perfectly to do an edit to the activity and getting the badge if you forgot to change the country beforehand. Just make sure that you actually see the badge as available. It is still available even if it was yesterday's badge.

I don’t see the badge as available, maybe this is the problem. Tried Taiwan and phillipines but no badge to show. I did get it last year so don’t know that changed, have the same watch still. Alas. Will go for the next one

  • You can only take it once. That is why you don't get it know.
