Vo2 Max far too high

Ive been cycling for quite some time now averaging 220 FTP however just started running 5k in just under 40 mins , I am 48 97kg but looking at my Vo2 max apparently i am 20 years old.

Any suggestions or a way to reset this to start from scratch.

I just bought a forrunner 935 upgrading from a Vivoactive 3 if that makes any different and use a Garmin 1030 , power meter and HR strap when on the bike.

  • How do you know your VO2 max value is too high?

The age below the VO2 max value is the age that an athlete should have with that VO2 max value. Your real age got nothing to do with that.

In the app the text is a bit limited, but in the web it describes it more: connect.garmin.com/.../current

Mine says: "Your VO₂ Max is 54 which is superior for men ages 40-49. Your fitness age is that of an excellent 20 year old. That's the top 5% for your age and gender."

  • I just thought im not super fit, yeah i am a lot fitter that some my age but not a 20 year old, i dont know enough about it.
