I am having the same issue - act recorded on watch but won't import into GC

Went for a 2nd run today and it will not sync in GC. I tried the repair tool but I get the error :

" The process cannot access the file 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\localuser\garmin.kiesewetter.nl\loadup\A9CB4033.FIT' because it is being used by another process. "

Here is the file from my watch. Not sure what is corrupted or why it won't sync - can anyone help? Also I am not sure how to upload the file here as it won't let me just drag and drop it.

I converted to a .zip - hopefully someone can help???

Try the Section Remover of FIT File Tools instead (without removing anything).

Thanks for responding! I tried what you said and it gave me this message when I tried to import the new file to GC :
One of your files was not accepted by the system. Please contact Support for assistance.

What is it supposed to look like? I am no expert, but was able to get it to upload to GC by converting it to a GPX file, which probably stripped out some corrupt fit file data.

I just ran at a local park - so the route wold have looked just like a couple squares with a diagonal for the route I ran. I have never had an issue like this before and it's been an education figuring out how the files work. Can I google how to convert it to GPX?

seilogramp I found a site to convert it - it looks like it lost about half the run - so weird! thanks for responding!

That is the one I found - the total run was 4.27 miles but it on;y shows the 1st 1.96

A little late, but I'm going over some of my failed repair jobs. Try this one - A9CB4033-fixed.zip

Total is 4.27 miles. The issue was "unexpected big change of distance value."

Repaired using Fit File Repair Tool.
