Garmin connect when not on wifi

I use a FR 245 Music.  When I'm not on wifi, if the watch syncs to the phone but the phone doesn't upload to the connect cloud, will it still sync that activity if someday down the road I sync when I am on wifi?  It just means the activity would be staged on my phone.

The problem is if you're deployed overseas that workouts won't sync without wifi.  But if it's just a timing thing and they'll eventually sync then I can live with that.

Otherwise is there an option to have it sync over a mobile network instead of needing to be on wifi?  it works this way with other apps.  THanks

If you're able to get to the Internet on your phone, either cellular or Wi-Fi, then your activities should sync. Your 245 connects via Bluetooth to your phone with Garmin Connect Mobile, then activities are synced to the cloud over the Internet. I do this frequently after finishing a run and I'm out on some remote trail, the activity will sync over cellular, as long as there's a good enough signal.
