Garmin Connect > profile icon, top right > Account Settings > Display Preferences > Measurement units.
I set them to Metric.
But still, energy is shown in calories. Any chance that Garmin can accommodate the SI unit of joules or kJ for energy? I know they're related by a factor of about 4.184 but it would make it so much easier if all the devices and software (across different manufacturers and developers) that measure, monitor, store and display this info worked to the same standard. At the moment, Gamin put a wrinkle in the landscape which prevents easy comparison of energy.
