Can't export activity via Garmin Connect Web

Hi there,

I can't figure out why is the    "in the top right corner" as stated in the official help pages no longer available once on the Activities page, activity selected. It is really frustrating.

Can someone please let me know if this is just bad software practice or there is another way to export my hike into GPX file or some alternative.

Many thanks in advance!

Connect is powered by Garmin  Copyright © 1996-2020 Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries  Version: 4.34.2.0, 20.17.3.1

There is Delete activity, Edit Metric or Rename activity but no gear to do any real operations on the item. Compare button is visible and since I only have one hike recorded it cant be applied.

Not sure what you mean by bad software practice, but the cogwheel is still on the Activity page of Garmin Connect Web, as it always has been. If you do not see it there, then you may be looking at a public activity from another account (not the one you are currently logged in).

To be clear, you do need to go beyond just going to the Activities page and selecting an activity. You have to open the activity by clicking on the activity title. From there you should see the gear icon as  stated.

  • Thank you for the clarification. For whatever reason, I was not able to open the activity via navigating the Side menu. I managed to open it via the Main Page boxes. Yes, once in the activity the gear icon is present and the extra function menu too.

    1. Sign in to your Garmin Connect account from a personal computer

    2. Click Arrow Icon in the upper left corner to expand the Navigation Bar

    3. Click Activities

    4. Click All Activities (Steps for Wellness Data)

    5. Click the title of the activity you would like to export

    6. Click the    in the top right corner

    7. Select the format*

    8. Save the file

  • Funny, I was pretty sure I clicked everywhere possible on the screen before concluding the interface must have a software bug. It allowed me to edit the title, but the title didn't work for me.

Now, it works. I must have missed that so obvious spot, since the interface didn't got a new roll-out over night.

    Thanks again for the answer.
