Badge Challenge August 400K (cycling) not awarded

Hi,

I created a challenge with friends from the 1st to the 31st of august : Challenge Aout'Ride. I won with 404km.

Then, I didn't received the 400K august badge (only 393km).

I checked all my cycling activities in August > it's 404km.

To try, i added a 7km fake activity the 31st of august : no change. I deleted it afterward.

Can you have a look ?

Because those new badges are very nice and is a big motivation to do more sports... But it's a real disappointment when you did well and tried your best ... for nothing :)

(Ok, I'm glad I did those km riding, it's only a useless badge but you know what I mean)

    Ummm, you did the wrong challenge. User created challenges do not count towards those badges. You should have joined the garmin-created challenge for the 400 km badge.

    All right, I assume I deserve that kind of answer.

    So I will be more precise : I did join the garmin-created 400k challenge. As I did for the 40k challenge, the 300 steps challenge, etc.

    And, at the same time, I joined "friends challenges" (steps, rides and runs) with my group.

    Thanks for the answer, it could have been that. But no : I assure you (at least I'm pretty sure) there has been an issue.

    As I write in my message : in the "official" challenge, only 393km has been "recorded", and 404km in my "unofficial" exact same challenge.

    The "colleting data" period is over : I think it's too late now to do that kind of change (I tried but no effect).

    Ok, so no solution for this bug... Well, I hope this won't appear again, otherwise that's really annoying. I don't really care about the 2 points or anything, see, it's just that some badges are quite challengin to get, depending on the time you've got, you level, etc. And if you give energy, time and effort to get one and at the end you just don't have it for strange technical reason, it's kind of demotivating, isn't it ?

    And it makes me wonder about garmin technology... it's just the sum of few activities... It shouldn't be THAT difficult to achieve... or to fix afterwards, the data being still there.

    Well, if you do not ask them directly, they might not even be aware of any issue. You need to tell the Support directly. This is a user forum. We just offer available solutions and workarounds.

    BTW, the collection period should not really matter. Try identifying wich activity exactly is missing from the total sum of the challenge, edit and save it - it will be re-parsed, and added to the challenge anyway. Make sure to se the date of the activity to 29th August max.

    Oh, all riht. My mistake. I didn't know it was a "user" forum :)

    I'll try to find the support page instead.

    But i think the "colection period" does matter when it's a limited time badge. I'm pretty sure it's too late now for the august badges.

    (I tried to change the date of my 30th and 31st ride tothe 27th, but no effect)

    I do not think so, unless they changed it the last few days. I still edited retrospetively one of my activities for a past chalenge, just some 2-3 weeks ago, and it had the desired effect.
