Trouble setting up a Cycling Training Plan

I’ve been trying to start a Cycling Training Plan but after all the setup, after clicking on “Create Plan”, I get an error message: “Whoops, something went wrong...”. And I haven’t been able to create any cycling plan. Anyone could please help me with this issue?

Having same issue from web and app for several days now.

  • Actually after a day so - and bunch of updates/syncs with my Edge520 it finally worked. It even finally transfer the plan calendar to device. Still - error message could have been a bit more verbose.

  • I am also having this issue.

I had this problem and contacted Garmin about it. I eventually figured out that if you select the "wrong" combination of devices when setting up the plan, it gives you this vague error.

In my case, I had selected boh the heart rate monitor and indoor trainer. However, my trainer is just a basic trainer that isn't connected to Garmin Connect. Since the app doesn't see both devices, it errored out. I changed it to just heart rate monitor (my vivoactive) and it worked.

I would try out a couple different combinations in the set up to see if you can get it to work. The training plans are a nice feature even thought he error messages are completely useless.

I got a new cycling computer, and have been trying to set up a training program as well,, and have been getting the Whoops! comment every time I try. I have tried messing around with all of the inputs, thinking that at some point it would except me, but it does not.

Does anyone have another workaround for this? I’m gonna try to contact Gorman
