When logging into Garmin Connect "Looks Like Our Laces Came Undone" (30/8/2020 22:43 AEST). When trying to create a workout in the Android app, "Failed to create workout. Try again later." When will the site be up again?
It appears to be a CloudFlare issue, and CloudFare says it has been fixed.
Interestingly, Garmin Connect Status shows everything Garmin being Down, and I am getting the sorry message on my Garmin Connect, but all my services seems to be working fine (Garmin Connect, Garmin Golf, Garmin Forum, Sync).
Probably a transit provider. Every online service needs a transit provider, and they have occasional problems like everyone else. But when a transit provider goes down, all the traffic they transport from a server to the rest of the internet also goes down. Big services like CloudFare have alternative routing that they can switch to if that happens. However, in this case, the switch does not seem to have been flipped like it should have been.
Interesting that Cloudflare that is made to prevent these cuts to happen, causes this.
Luckily, it looks like the services are up again (31/8/2020 22:00 AEST). I was lucky: The workout I had painstakingly added in the phone yesterday which would not save then has been saved nevertheless, so I don't have to enter it again.
