Hi there,
I notice that elevation gain data in edited courses is wrong, more or less is twice the origina data. That happens also with imported courses using the import data menu.
Thanks!

What exactly are you editing? Do you have "Elev Corrections" enabled? Can you share a link to one of your problematic activities?
Hi,
the issues is facing in courses, not activities. i.e: I create a new course to follow in my next ride... after to save the course, if a try to edit the course, when I save it, the elevation gain is twice the first value, I mean, if the course has 2300 m, after edit the course, the elevation gain becames 4600m.
Are you making any changes to the drawing methods, between Popularity, Follow Roads, or Freehand? I was able to duplicate your issue, but it wasn't double, more like a few feet. When I edited the course while switching from Follow Roads to Popularity Routing, then back to Follow Roads.
an example... I take a course... click on "duplicate" and the following windows shows almost the double value, from 2550m to 4328m. I dont edit any point, you can check in the next example the distances are the same in both courses.
Before
After
furthermore, if i send the first one, "Road Bicorp" to my device edge 1030, the elevation gain in the summary is 4670 meters.
If I download the GPX file of the course and paste in "new files" folder, tha elevation gain is 3065meters. The FIT file has as result in the edge device 4670 meters.
the link to the course is
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/36189740
king regards.
I have the same issue since weeks. And this is also influencing the remaining ascent when using the course during a ride. When done, the elevation recorded is as it should be. I don't understand Garmin is accepting such a big flaw for so long. Unbelievable!
Hi again,
Course creation is still calculating wrong ascent meters using the mobile and the web garmin connect versions. It’d would be nice to create courses using the native apps instead of third applications such as strava, komoot, ridewithgps, etc.
Please, if you need more feedback let me know.
Thanks,
David Garcia Albert
