Logging activities twice

Why is my edge 500 logging each ride twice on Garmin connect ?

Are you using two different Garmin devices (i.e. a watch and the Edge 500 in plus)?

No just the forerunner 235 was ok until recently I do have the edge on the bars but just for reference never dock it

I do not quite understand. In the opening post you wrote it is your Edge 500 logging each ride twice, and now you tell you never dock it. If you don't, how it could log anything to Garmin Connect?

Really sorry I originally got mixed up I upload from the forerunner and simply use the edge as an easy view reference

I guess the activites got downloaded from Edge anyway, for example when you charged the device. To tell you definitely, I'd need to see the activities's records. Please post links to a sample pair of such doubled activities. Please do not forget to set the privacy on them to Everyone, before posting the link to each of the activity.
