Is there a way to automatically or at least easily identify tunnels from an imported GPX file in Garmin Connect?

Going for a bike trip in the French Alps in a couple of weeks.

I will receive the GPX files of the trip in advance.

I would like to know if there are tunnels in the course, so I can prepare by mounting lights and bringing my normal glasses with me.

If there are no tunnels I would prefer to leave glasses and lights in the hotel as it saves space and weight on the race bike.

Anyone any clue how this can be done?

  • Maybe open that GPX in some mapping program like JOSM and see how the path goes, you can display OSM's data or aerial map. OSM is searchable, but that depends if elements are placed there.
