corrupt fit file

This is the second time that Edge 830 is losing the ride after I save it. I have no idea why this is happening. I managed to undelete the fit file using a recovery tool, but now the file itself is corrupt. Any help would be much appreciated.

hi,

you recovered 5,7 km from your ride, no additional data present for that day

removed all non ride data and ran your file through Fit File Tools's section remover

check this file 3718.fitfiletools.zip

how many fit files does the ACTIVITIES folder contain ?

ask because of this post ... edge-520-520-plus fit-file-empty-on-device

Thanks. There were only about 30 files in the Activities folder.

The corrupt undeleted fit file is 116kb, whereas the rescued file is 22kb. I'm not too worried about this specific ride, but because it happened exactly the same way twice, I am worried about future repeats.

Anyways, I have the device a hard reset.. so let's see.
